The name Sonas means happiness in Irish Gaelic. The name was chosen because of our heritage, and we are blessed with happiness in our family.  We support handmade and have an art shop and candle shop on Etsy.

We love candles and began making paraffin wax candles in 2003. With a desire to lead green lives and run a business that is eco friendly we discontinued use of paraffin wax and use 100% organic soy in our candles.

We use sustainable palm oil in our soaps. Our dyes are chemical free and NOT on the Cali Prop 65 for ingredients that cause are known to cause cancer. We care about ourselves, the people that use our products and the environment.

At your request we can make dye free and/or scent free candles. We hope that you enjoy our candles as much as my daughter and I enjoy making them!

#1 Asian Sandalwood
This outstanding scent is sweet, but not too sweet, with calming woody and peppery notes.

Just like the dreamsicle ice cream treats from your childhood ! Sparkling orange blends with a warm vanilla for this yummy frozen concoction !

#3 Cucumber Melon

A mild, yet delightful sweet smelling fragrance. A wonderful combination of the coolness of a cucumber with a delightfully sweet melon.

#4 Love Spell (Victoria Secrets TYPE)
This is a very romantic scent, mixing light fruit, citrus, and florals. This is a Victoria’s Secret type

#5 White Tea and Ginger (BBW TYPE)
A wonderfully pleasant blend of delicate white tea mingled with fresh ginger. A BBW type.

#6 Paris Twilight
An intriguingly romantic scent that captures the essence of an evening in Paris. Top Notes include tart cranberries, strawberries, citrus zest and a splash of white grapefruit. Middle notes include lavender, blueberry, creamy heliotrope, and chamomile. Bottom notes include vanilla sugar, whipped cream, warm amber and red berries.

#7 Warm Vanilla Sugar (BBW TYPE)
A Bath and Body Works type fragrance. An inviting blend of vanilla, coconut, sandalwood, fragrant basmati rice with hints of heliotrope flowers and light musk. A cozy fragrance.

Strong and sweet floral. Smells like true lilacs in full bloom

A strong lemongrass/citrus fragrance with subtle sage notes

#10 Pink Sugar (Aquolina TYPE)
A playfully soft women’s fragrance with the sweetness of sugar, cotton candy, vanilla, musk and light florals. For the young and young at heart! An Aquolina perfume type.

#11 Monkey Farts
unique complex fragrance is anything but disgusting! This unique fragrance begins with top notes of fresh bananas and juicy grapefruit, middle notes of kiwi, juicy bubblegum, and strawberries; and a hint of vanilla as a base note.

#12 Patchouli
Patchouli – This is for all you 60′s and 70′s earthlings! An earthy/woodsy type fragrance oil

#13 Lemon Lavender
Strong, bold lemon blended with a beautiful soft lavender and complimented by crushed verbena leaves.

#14 Bite Me
Fresh citrus notes of lime and orange sparkle with effervescent highlights as they lead to a luscious blend of berry and cherry in this playful scent. Leafy green accents add intensity as a base of vanilla creates sweet tones for the fragrance.

#15 Cranberry Apple Marmalade – A festive blend of crisp apples, peaches, oranges, spiced cranberries and cinnamon. Middle notes of black currant, cassis, clove, and vanilla spice add a sense of warmth to this delightful fragrance. Zesty, cozy and warming!

All items are packed in Cello bags and paper. Cellophane is biodegradable and non-polluting. Cellophane is Eco-Friendly, because it is a cellulose product derived from purposefully grown cottonwood trees, they are not cutting down trees in the rainforest or your neighborhood.

Sonas Candles are Vegan & Kosher except soaps containing organic Goat’s and organic honey! No animal testing! We use eco friendly biodegradable & recycled packaging. Smoke-Free studio!

We use cotton core wicks, no lead or zinc. All candles produce soot when wicks are not trimmed properly. Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch (8mm) to reduce soot and for candle safety.

Our Soy wax is made from organic soybeans and vegetables, both are renewable resources.

Soy wax is biodegradable non harmful to the environment. Soy wax residue can be washed away with warm water and soap.

About our dyes:
We use EVO candles dyes, they do not contain hazardous solvents or additives such as naphtha or naphthalene. EVO dyes are never tested on animals and NO EVO INGREDIENTS are on the California Prop 65 list of cancer causing ingredients.

Our Olive oil soaps are made using organic coconut and Organic palm oils.
Our palm oil is RSPO Certified (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) meaning the suppliers promote the growth of sustainable palm oils no clear cutting is or de-forestation is practiced by our supplier.

We do make Cold process & Hot process soaps. The only difference is Hot process is cooked making the soap useable without a 4 to 8 week cure time. We cure Hot process a min of 1 week (not required but produces a harder bar). Cold process soaps depending on type are cured a min of 4 to 8 weeks. Castile is cured 6 months.
