19 yrs ago my son died in my arms on Thanksgiving day. He was 5 1/2 months old and had been healthy. He just stopped breathing. Thankfully the police were able to revive him 15 minutes later. Had we taken naps and were not waiting on more family to arrive we’d have never known he stopped breathing. It would turn out to be the result of RSV virus, associated with crib death. From that point on he spent 2 weeks in intensive care and batteries of tests. He suffered from asthma growing up as a result but grew to be a fine young man who graduated high school this year.We don’t celebrate the pilgrims, we celebrate life on Thanksgiving. I am so Thankful for the blessings we have, my children and family. Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.Travis we are so proud of you and your decision to serve in the military. We look forward to your return home and sure will miss you tomorrow. api

So yeah, Mondays. We all have them. It would seem no matter what language it is in, a Monday is Monday. Why do we dislike Monday so much? For some people it’s the start of 5 days of school. Some of you parents maybe doing a little song and dance at that thought. For most people though, it’s the start of a long work week. I’ve found if I’m ever going to have “one of those days”. It almost never fails to be on a Monday. You know, those days where things just come at you straight out of the blue. With that thought came this little illustration. So I’ve never had a little green man show up and pluck feathers. I have on more than one occasion had regular old earthlings ruffle my feathers. Sometimes, you just gotta say what the HE double hockey sticks). Have a great day and an even better week, and keep an eye in the sky. You just never know . Feel free to comment about why you dislike or may even like (always an oddball around hehe) Mondays.
Ladybugs4×6 inch OSWOA® (Original Small Work Of Art).SOLDIt’s Spring and we were out gardening and enjoying the sunshine after a cold winter. I came inside later to paint and felt something crawling on me. Low and behold a ladybug had hitched a ride inside the house on my sleeve. Ladybugs are insects that are not only pretty to look at but harmless natural pest control. Ladybugs are loved by farmers & gardeners, they can eat thousands of aphids during their 3 to 6 week lifetime.Fun fact: While their color & spots make them favorites for people, they actually serve as a deterrent to predators. I’ve posted a How-To on the salt texture background HERE. api
